To my London Trainers

Dear trainers,
Here there are my commitments for the years to come:
As a teacher I will definitely integrate many things I have learned in London in my teaching.  Google rocks and rolls(!)  and gives all teachers the possibility to keep in touch, to be in touch with most recent changes. The “engrade” platform or other similar will soon become useful tools in the students’ evaluation, as well as an instrument of communication between school and parents, teachers and students, school and community, secure and safe, very updated and reliable.
I particularly liked the Rubistar invention, and this comes as a bless in disguise for many of us that have been struggling for years to measure and shade different performances of our students for whom critical thinking and objectivity must become prerequisites of their further development.
I will do my best to seed in them the curiosity for new discoveries, to encourage them to give way to all their creativity, to remain enthusiastic and confident in their learners’ empowerment, to put to personal use the “ambient findability” rather than regard it with fear, distrust or implacable indifference. Knowledge makes us stronger and it must undoubtedly belong to the people of tomorrow democratically and permanently.
I feel obliged to add that these tremendously busy days in London have catalyzed all my inquiries and attempts because I sensed something must be changed. I didn’t know how. It was a problem of when. You told us: today. You taught us how.
I will enclose a link to my recent audacity made recording. Sorry, no guitar tonight. It is the oh-so-common song my teens ceaselessly played last year(!). No cups, either. It is a song about us coming to an end.
The end will be a new beginning.
Thank you.
